'Maria. Liefde voor Maria in Noord-Holland' (Mary. Love of Mary in North Holland)
In 2007 the Westfries Museum in Hoorn succeeded in obtaining an important 15th century statue of the Virgin. From October 2008 to February 2009 this ‘Mary of Hoorn’ was the dazzling center of the exhibition ‘Maria. Liefde voor Maria in Noord-Holland’.
It was an intimate and visually exciting overview of Marian devotion in North Holland from the Middle Ages to the present day.
