| With almost 27.000 medieval badges and ampulla the Kunera database offers the largest survey of this material in the world. To make this fascinating material available to a large audience, Kunera has a new website. The Kunera project has been ongoing since 1998. With some adaptations over the course of time, the previous application has been online since 2009. An update was overdue.
With a grant of Radboud Institute for Culture & History (RICH) the tech company Maxdoro built a new application. This new website looks more attractive, is more logically arranged and easier to use, offering a better user experience. The new Kunera website will be online from December 1, 2021: www.kunera.nl. A symposium on Friday 18 February 2022 will mark the official launch of the new website, subject to possible changes due to Covid measures. Keynote speakers are prof. dr Kathryn M. Rudy (St Andrews University) and prof. dr Ann Marie Rasmussen (University of Waterloo). Others speakers are prof. em. dr Jos Koldeweij, dr Hanneke van Asperen, and drs Willy Piron.
